Tempest Heater Core

I'm extremely clumsy and my the primary reason I bought this thing was so I'd stop losing balls every time I drop this thing. I have found, however, that this core makes for an incredible one hit extraction machine that has completely replaced my beloved rubies. 28s@100w, 2mm spacer depth on the YLL 3.0 gives me beautifully dense vapor on a microdose bowl. On the other hand, this core also seems to do a significantly better job with heat retention for longer, J-style sessions. No clue how it works and I'm too medicated to explain further. Buy it and try it, get your head out of your way.

This thing has been an absolute game changer for me! I was terrible with the balls, myself screens were always popping especially if I dropped it. Sometimes it would pop and sometimes it wouldn't after hitting the induction heater and balls would go everywhere. Well with this titanium insert that's done for. Think of it like filling the cap full of 1-1.5mm titanium balls and that's what this insert is. It would be really cool if SiC insert could be made like this. This does change your vaping style btw. Because you're heating 2 pieces of precision machined titanium this is going to be the absolute best way for a massive one hit wonder. Set the bowl to the deepest setting and get the yll 3.0. preheat it for 30 seconds on 60 watts and then cool it down and get your favorite 3 flame torch and let it rip. The other cool thing with this ball replacement is if you like to heat the threads of your bowl like I do you can implement a hybrid style vape by tilting the head sideways and running the frame from the threads to the top of the cap. This will produce a vapor way thicker and flavorful and more potent than any other "big bowl tip". Thank you mad heaters for an innovative and useful product.

85W 45 Seconds this thing rips just like rubies but with more heat retention. Spot on, will be easy to find if the retaining screen ever goes.

Switched from 42 3mm ss balls to this ss heater core and it rips just as hard maybe a little harder but has much better airflow. 85 watts 45 seconds on the yll

Simple and effective. I love that this has two layers allowing for some customisation. I'm using the titanium outer core with 3mm Sic on the inside, for amazing one heat extraction with excellent flavour. For someone with dexterity issues this is far less fiddly than the balls, although personally I purchased this more for the heating nuances than the QOL. Happy customer and may get the stainless steel to have compare the effects. Would recommend to all.

This core does nothing positive for the Tempest 2.

Brilliant, really easy to install and use. Thought I'd see what this was like and wasn't disappointed. I love how versatile the tempest is you really can tailor it to suit the sesh your after with different balls and cores.

I was fed up losing my rubies if i dropped the head so gave this a go. Flavour is spot on as always and the core seems to hold heat a bit longer for native use which is great.

Top addition to the baller head

I've replaced rubies and SiC in both my T2s by Heater Cores and am very happy about the thermal properties and easiness of cleaning compared to balls.
The taste is neutral.
26s @ 100W on the YLL is the sweet spot for me, just lightly roasted, can even do a second pass.

Retains heat well for either OHE or sessioning.

Love this! I use it several ways, but my favorite way at the moment is with the outer piece and 18 sic balls in the middle, which gives great conduction, convection, and balance – it's perfection.

It's not necessarily an upgrade to the zirconias, but it offers excellent predictability and consistency by heating and cooling at a more equal rate and transferring heat into the herbs evenly, which opens up the vapor extraction window.

I don't find it provides quite the same satisfying hit, or high skill-ceiling that the zirconias do, but airflow is slightly better and overall it's a more manageable experience - cleaning the full device can all be done in one go, and no worries about losing/replacing any balls.

Hits like the Zinc balls but with more airflow!! Retains heat a little longer. Very satisfying.

I don'tt care about tase a lot but I like consistent brown avb. The core roasts it a little better than balls.

Consistent heat-up, strong and smooth draw.

I find with this new core I can finish a bowl faster as if the heat is more Concetrate and when I take a puff it extracts all the vapour quickly.
I like the new option even tho I am not using it all the time

For me the heater core cools down too quickly I prefer using my rubies especially for this price point , further I do think it hits quite nice but the taste of the rubies is better

The new core is a solid improvement. It's easier to clean than the balls, and it also appears to provide better thermal conduction, which benefits hash extraction. The only drawback I've noticed is that the core can move inside the cap. When it shifts toward the visual indicator area, it partially restricts the airflow, resulting in a slightly tighter draw.

Takes a bit of getting used to, made it easier to combust. Need to try around with the settings a little.

Wow i did not like it at first, i thought that the taste was hotter so i dialled it down on temp and the flavour was better than ever. If i put the temperature up and use my bong it is definately a stronger effect.

Ich liebe es endlich mim Tempest richtig dicht zu sein, han ich die ganze Zeit vermisst.

Used this in my OG Ti, been a fan of MH since T1 and Revolve. YLL V3 at 70/40 with a full bowl of green and crumble sandwich.
A tiny click ...Part extraction with flavour, upped to 75/42. Click. That twin slug of Ti can hold a lot of heat, ohe, very tasty and effective for my pains.

Really digging the heater core so far, I've found it performs similar to stainless steel balls with less heat retention, but what you get back for that is crazy airflow! Get it nice and hot and go for in for one big rip!

I'm leaving a review after 24 hours of use, so I may amend after further usage, but so far, it's very impressive, as it seems to heat up as fast as the default balls (the pre-installed ones) and also holds on to the heat a little longer.
The flavour is very good (at least as good as the default balls); I found it to be more pronounced. One thing I found noticeably different was the size of the cloud it generated; it was huge, a lot more than you get with the default.
I think the Titanium Heater Core comes into its own with a bong. Oh, and it's a lot less hassle than a load of balls, and once loaded, it rattles just the same- a very nice addition.
